We were staying at Montan Hakata and this cafe happened to be located only one minute from the hotel so we decided to hop in for breakfast. It turned out this place is specialised for Aojiru and had lots of drinks associated with it. We had ABC sandwich, double egg sandwich, Aojiru latte and Aojiru chai latte. The sandwiches were tasty and the drinks did not have any bitterness like I initially imagined. It tasted more like matcha. It was really easy to drink and light so Iiked it a lot. I also wanted to try the roll cake with Aojiru but they told me it was sold out for this year lol All the staff were friendly and kind. (There were four staffs doing the jobs that could be done by one person but I guess that’s typical in Japan) I always love there’s a basket I can put my jacket and bag etc. in at most of cafes and restaurants...

The breakfast options are simple but decent - think fresh sandwiches, and a good selection of coffee. The sandwiches are tasty and filling, perfect for starting the day, and the coffee is reliably good, whether you prefer an almond latte or a soy latte.
Service is friendly and efficient, which is ideal if you're in a hurry. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with a few seats available for those who want to sit and relax.
Overall, if you need a no-fuss breakfast near your hotel, this cafe is a solid choice. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done with good quality and...

Shocked that it tastes just like matcha, just a little grassier and without caffeine, which is perfect if you're a non-caffeine person, or just someone who can't take caffeine after 3pm (like me).
The swiss roll (DOJIMA DE RYOKKO AOJIRU ROLL) was really soft and delicious, and paired well with the aojiru soy latte. We also got the aojiru espresso latte which tasted just like a dirty matcha.
Honestly wished I discovered this place earlier on my trip, so that I could...
