Came for the really high rating. It was a very comforting meal, very nicely presented with cute small components. I got the lemon beef tongue set, and my partner got the sea bream set. The dessert was one of the best we've had at a Japanese restaurant (Hojicha tea pudding)
Beef tongue set: yummy combination of sour and salty, the lemon definitely added to the fish. There was not enough beef for my liking so I ended up with a lot of rice.
Sea bream: quite fresh sashimi with a delicious dashi to pour in.
Both had a really nice and warm pork broth which tasted quite delicious.
We got a small chicken nanban and it was pretty average, not too crispy, a little on the salty and soggy side.
The highlight was definitely the hojicha tea pudding!! It was so silky and infused with hojia flavour. Like a tea creme caramel, a perfect refreshing dessert.
