A good stay in the hotel as it is right in the heart of Fukuoka, inside a huge shopping all & train station. It is very convenient to travel by train since it is just right below the hotel & the shopping mall. It is surrounded by branded stores & malls so we shopped until we dropped. There are many many eateries, cafes, restaurants, snacks & supermarkets in the close proximity & inside the mall where the hotel is located. No need to worry about food at all. The hotel is located in side the shopping mall level 6, so we took a lift to level 6 in order to go to the hotel & its reception which is just next to the mall.||The hotel also provides reasonable breakfast although not huge variety but is good enough to fill up our stomach. If we do not like the breakfast, we can always eat nearby since there are so many restaurants & cafes.||The hotel room is small so it is quite challenging when we have 1 big luggage, 2 medium size luggage & 1 cabin luggage. The toiletries & amenities are to be self-collect at the hotel lobby as they want to educate about recycling & environment friendly. So take what you require. I like this interesting idea.||The pillows are a bit too soft so we did not sleep that well initially but we still dozed off due to tiredness. Hope the hotel will make the pillows slightly harder so it is better for a good sleep. Best if they can provide contour pillows as an additional option if the hotel guests do require it.||We rented a car from the airport & we parked inside the hotel car park. So it is very convenient to drive around too. However, the hotel staffs & security guards do not speak very good English so sometimes misunderstanding may arise. So it is best to use google translate if really have communication issue.||The housekeeping is acceptable but can be improved as I discovered some hairs on the anti-slip mat when I unrolled it to use in the bath tub. It was quite disgusting but I had to remove the hairs & clean up before using it.||One thing needs to take note of the housekeeping is that they have a timing to clean up the room before 12 noon. After this timing, there will be no housekeeping until the next day. So it is best to leave the hotel room by 10 am or latest 11 am. I guess the hotel encourages hotel guests to go out of the hotel & visit places of interest instead to stay in the room. As for me, I went for my breakfast & then we went out by 10am or 10:30am.||One thing I wanted to praise the hotel that they are responsive to my email as I left my health supplement pouch in the room after I left to airport. So they found it & arranged an express courier company to deliver back to my country which I have to pay for the courier charges as due to my own negligent. ||After all, this is a good stay & I will consider to come back here...

I recently booked a room from 9/19 to 9/21, total of 2 days at Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel. In the morning, I stored my luggage, and the counter staff was very nice. Later, I completed the check-in process in the afternoon, assisted by another staff member, who was also very pleasant.

When I returned to the hotel in the evening around 21:10, I went to the counter and asked for two extra bottles of water (I am not sure if the hotel provided them, but other hotels in Japan indeed offer this service for free). The staff had changed again, and the person at the counter didn’t say anything but simply turned around and walked away. I remember saying “water bottles” as he walked off. Eventually, he returned with the bottles and asked for my room number.

At that moment, I couldn’t recall my exact room number and gave a close but incorrect one. He pointed out that it was wrong, laughed, and explained that the hotel only has 16 floors. He then took my room card and confirmed my room number.

As I walked towards the elevator, I overheard this staff member talking and laughing with another person about this, which made me feel uncomfortable.

While I’ve generally had positive experiences with your staff, I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed by this particular staff member. You could laugh at the clients, but please make sure that the clients have left! I hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience moving...

I have stayed in Japan five times and have always praised Japanese hospitality. Sadly, Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Fukuoka (staff Hakatsu & Hamada) destroyed that image in minutes. Extorted extra money at check-in. I had already paid for the extra guest through the booking site. Instead of checking their own system, both clerks repeated like parrots, “Pay first or no room key,” refusing any explanation. It felt like a threat. Open hostility & anti-Korean attitude. Their faces were twisted in annoyance from the moment they heard my accent. Not one apology, not one attempt to clarify. Unsafe, rundown property. The hotel sits inside an old shopping mall. At night the ground floor is dark, with drunks and loitering teenagers. Hall carpets are stained; our room carpet still had hair on it. For a rate higher than many better hotels in Fukuoka, this felt closer to a neglected hostel. No real “weather-proof” benefit. Advertised indoor access to Solaria Plaza is useless unless it is pouring rain—and even then you drag luggage over bumpy, worn carpet. After hundreds of hotels worldwide, this was by far the most disrespectful welcome I have ever received. I will avoid this chain and advise other travelers—especially Korean guests—to stay elsewhere.

1. Location Super convenient location, surrounded by shopping malls like Iwataya, VIORIO, and Tenjin shopping streets, if you are looking for some local brands and select shops, the 東小姓町通, 警固參道 are just a stone throw away. 2. transport Just above the Tenji station, needless to say anything more But we drove from Aso, so we used the parking lot provided by the hotel, with 1500 yen for 24 hours, which is a reasonable price compared to use those public car parks 3. Rooms I think they have been renovated, and the size is considerably quite spacious comparing to ordinary Japanese hotel. Have bath tub and sufficient water pressure I was staying in room 1523, facing to the park, and the view was quite spectacular. Only one downside from the room is theres is some noise coming out from the ventilation, a bit annoying, but I was so tired after a long day so it doesn’t bother me too much

Great location, easy access to nearby shops and eateries. However, would be good to have direct access to the same level as Tenjin underground shopping mall without changing lift or escalator. bathroom is great but at a cost of the bedroom size. As the building is also used by other people attending events, it does not feel safe, secure and exclusive. Anyone can use the same lifts, and follow you to the floor. Very limited touch point with staff as there is no hotel staff on ground floor, ie no staff escort to taxi stand, as concierge is on level 6. Only talked to staff once during check in and say hi to cleaners. No coin laundry is another big concern to us. Hotel room is ok, bit disappointed with the so called "city view" with most covered by roof of the building next door. If privacy is your top concern, I would recommend consider else where.
