I had an absolutely delightful experience at Eikoku Shoryu in Fukuoka! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with a cozy, modern vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring every detail of our visit was perfect. The food was the real star of the show—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Their signature tonkotsu ramen was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, with noodles cooked to perfection and melt-in-your-mouth chashu. The menu also offers a great variety, from crispy gyoza to refreshing sides that complement the main dishes wonderfully. Was looking for a restaurant for dinner at 10pm and stumbled on this place via tabelog. Was immediately greeted by very friendly service who asked what language we spoke so we could get the correct menu. Our server (possibly owner) was extremely friendly and immediately explained the menu and gave us his recommendations. We tried the truffle ramen, their best selling sake (see photo) assorted yakitori, truffle croquette, chicken skin skewer shoyu flavour, and gyoza. Our server explained each dish as it came and taught us how to eat it properly. The truffle ramen was extremely tasty, the soup was extremely flavourful and rich, noodles the perfect texture. The truffle croquette was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and extremely flavourful on the inside. The rest of the food was also extremely tasty. The overall experience was amazing. The vibe of the restaurant itself was perfect for my partner and I. I will definitely come back again when I come...

The grilled skewers are fantastic—fresh ingredients and excellent grilling skills. It’s been a while since I’ve had skewers this good! The ramen is also top-notch. I tried the restaurant’s recommended black truffle ramen, which was a unique and delicious combination!

Beyond the high-quality food, the service here is outstanding. The owner studied in the UK and speaks fluent English. He enthusiastically introduced the restaurant’s specialties, making it much easier for travelers who don’t speak Japanese to fully enjoy the experience of interacting with locals. This is a huge plus!
