Motsu Nabe Ichifuji Hakata — Restaurant in Fukuoka

I went to this place because it was near my hotel and had decent reviews. I was worried that I would need a reservation, but we were able to get a table for two straight away.

You can see an English menu using the QR code and order from your phone- very useful!

The motsu nabe itself was delicious. Soft, fatty motsu served with a generous portion of tofu, chives,etc. You can also order top ups at the end such as extra motsu or noodles for the leftover soup.

We kinda stumbled upon this restaurant and the food was delectable. We ordered the miso-based motsu nabe with noodles and mochi, as well as rice and other dishes amongst three people. The staff were all friendly even though we only spoke English and the restaurant overall had a good atmosphere. I wish there was a 4.5 star option - it just missed the 5 stars because the menu seemed a bit limited. It was my first motsu nabe so I can’t really compare it to others, but it just didn’t quite have that...

Nice environment,we didn't have to wait too long during our visit for dinner that night (probably we were considered early dinners) Ordering is through scan app and servers were quick with response when needed. Portion wise we think it's slightly smaller compared to another similar place which we patronise 2 days ago. But we prefer this dinning ambiance as it's more private and you don't feel you have to rush through your meals...
