Outstanding coffee. Rec is home to the current Japan Barista Champion. They have a broad selection of high quality coffees, roasted by Honey Coffee. On my first visit to this shop, I had excellent Honduran and Brazilian single origin espressos. On my second visit, I shared a French press pot of Panama Geisha coffee with my wife. Staff were friendly and were able to help even though my Japanese is poor (coffee origins are written in English on their menus). This shop was very quiet inside, with a few outdoor seats. Seemed like a nice place to read or study quietly - but go there because the coffee is superb. Very reasonable base prices, rarer coffees are higher priced. 200ยฅ "regular" coffee before 10am. Last note, this is the most accessible specialty coffee shop to Hakozaki....

The barista was also well mannered and has a nice atmosphere when talking and serving customers.
Price was so-so. Not so expensive and not too cheap. Hazelnut Latte was delicious. Same with the Vanilla Latte I ordered. The cake was just right, not too sweet and not too bland. It really goes well with coffee, tea or cold drinks.
Power outlet and wifi are available so you can stay and do your work here or maybe study. Definitely coming...

They take cards which is something I called highly when in Japan. To all coffee snobs out there, this place won't disappoint.
Edit: Now, a few months later, I'm back again for the morning coffee and is still consistently good.
Edit2: They give you a 20yen discount if you bring a tumbler, very earth friendly๐, just make sure to point that out as the staff...
