Bistronomie Octobre — Restaurant in Hakone

Well, I saw a lot of positive reviews and was intrigued to go here after long Sunday and long long trip

Me and my pregnant wife arrived here on our way to home in 30 mm strong rain (even emergency service sent 4 level alert), our shoes literally drank water at this point – it was very rainy

Right straight from bus stop we went 10 meters into bistronomie, was happy to see 1 or 2 free tables and was just “oh finally we can have a dinner and good one”

Well, owner (?) or manager (?) had other view on this: he saw us and said “reservations only”. My wife just gave up at this point and went to poor 7-Eleven and for me it was almost Biblical picture: imagine, wall of rain, literally wall of rain, me with 5 bags of items, on right side owner with “reservations only” when, of course, in this weather nobody coming by any common sense, on the left side my wife leaving deeper into wall of rain because it was unbearable at this point.

I was like seeing this and seeing that and I didn’t even try to discuss with owner, it was so absurd that I had no words at all.

Absolutely amazing meal! An unknown pearl in Hakone, everything from salads, pasta, main course and dessert was absolutely amazing! Great wine selection and perfectly cooked food! And at the price point. Will not be able to get near this for the price with that quality in Europe! Service was so nice and friendly. Big...

箱根の仙石原に佇む、フランス料理とワインの店「octobre」

2023年7月に惜しまれながら閉店したオーベルジュ漣の池澤シェフがオーナーとなり、シニアソムリエの鴨志田さんとマダムが迎えてくださる。

今回はディナーで訪れましたが、店内は満席。予約必須です。

ライトで照らされた木々の合間から垣間見える、スタイリッシュでおしゃれな外観。そして、店内に一歩踏み入れるとこだわりの詰まった唯一無二の内装と、どこかに帰ってきたような温かみのある雰囲気。

10年前、池澤シェフが作り出す料理に出逢い、衝撃を受け、そこから虜になりました。

池澤シェフに勝る「フランス料理」はない、いや、ジャンル問わず池澤シェフに勝る「料理」はない。 そう断言できるほど全ての料理が美味しく、細部まで繊細で美しい。なんでこんなに美味しいんだろうと頭を抱えてしまう。

また、素晴らしい料理をさらに引き立てる、鴨志田さんが提供するワイン。料理を口に含む、ワインを飲む、また料理を含みたくなる、そしてワイン。この連鎖が最高なんです。 そして、マダムの飾らない素敵な接客がそこに加わると、この上なく幸せな時間になる。

またここを訪れるために明日から頑張ろう、そう思いながら店を後にした至高の夜でした。

＜メニュー＞ ディナーはアラカルトなのですが、シェフがお一人で作ってるとは思えないほどのメニューの量で選ぶのに一苦労。内心は全て食べたいのですが、胃袋に限界があるのでその中でも特に気になるお料理をチョイス。
