Poco a poco — Restaurant in Hakone

Nice hot sandwiches in the mountain atmosphere. Unexpected mini side salad and pasta which was a nice surprise.

Not sure how to order the best coffee in Japan yet but certainly don’t go for the cafe au lait, as it was pretty much a cup of horlicks, or hot milk with a dash of coffee. Should’ve gone for a speciality blend but that’s on me.

The cafe is a great stop on the way to hakone, owned by a lively elderly couple, we enjoyed talking with them very much, we took the morning set for its excellent value, we recommend the cheese toast and avocado toast.
