Stayed here with a friend for one week at the beginning of March for skiing holiday. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of access to various mountains for skiing purposes. We were extremely unhappy to find out if we booked the accommodation one week prior to dates then we would get the same room for AU$2000 cheaper. When we booked the accommodation back in August it stated that the rooms were in demand and that there was only three or four left at the price we paid. To our surprise when we were staying at the hotel we found out that we were one of two guests staying at the hotel at this particular time. On questioning the staff at the hotel they advised that this was going rate however when I showed them the price currently for the rooms there was obviously a significant difference in the price i.e. AU$2000. My advice if you are travelling to Hakuba at the shoulder edge of the season perhaps try and book a week prior to leaving as there was And abundance of accommodation available on the mountain and indeed closer to the ski slopes with ridiculously cheap prices. We felt extremely ripped off with the price that we paid for this hotel considering it was empty. We were offered no form of compensation. And the breakfast was stock standard for anywhere on the mountain and was average. This hotel is extremely accessible to most skiing mountains with a lot of local free shuttles stopping just outside the hotel. In the cold it is a little far away from Happo one slopes and dining areas and approximately 1 km away from Ecco land which is the main area for food and entertainment.|I would just like to reiterate that the staff at this hotel amazing and extremely...

Read moreHakuba Panorma is well located, clean and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. ||However, I was disappointed about the standard of the hotel because:||1. Basic toiletteries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, cotton wool, were not provided in the room. There were not even spoons to make coffee or tea. Only when asked were they given but not shower caps.||2. Beds were extremely uncomfortable as they were very hard as opposed to firm. So when I requested for a comforter to be placed on the mattress it was not allowed.||3. Breakfast was the same everyday! The same eggs (scrambled) was served every morning and when I asked if they change the style of eggs to sunny side or omelette they wouldn’t oblige. ||4. The onsen/ changing rooms were very poorly stocked. There were not even tissues, but instead paper towels which you cannot use on your face to remove makeup! No cotton buds, no moisturizer, no cotton wool. ||||With all that in mind this should not even be under the category...
