Hakuba Baisen Coffee, a hidden treasure in the snowy expanse of Hakuba, offers an unforgettable experience wrapped in the charm of a rustic log cabin café. Surrounded by towering snowdrifts, as seen in the picturesque exterior shot, the café’s warm wooden interior provides a cozy contrast to the icy landscape. My visit was elevated by their exceptional drip coffee, brewed with precision using a glass siphon labeled “Colombia Santuario Gold Honey.” The rich aroma and balanced flavor, enhanced by detailed tasting notes on the menu, showcased the baristas’ expertise. The accompanying menu, showcasing options like “Winter of Hakuba” and “Mexico Ixhuatlan Veracruz,” added an educational touch, making the hand-crafted process even more engaging. I paired my coffee with their apple cake, beautifully presented with a dollop of whipped cream, a strawberry, and a blueberry—a delightful treat that complemented the brew perfectly. The cake’s moist texture and subtle sweetness were a joy, as captured in the photo. While the indoor ambiance is inviting, the café’s outdoor seating promises stunning snow mountain views, ideal for soaking in nature’s beauty. Hakuba Baisen Coffee blends top-tier coffee, delectable pastries, and a serene alpine setting into a must-visit retreat.
