This hotel was absolutely FANTASTIC!|It was very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area.|It has its own private onsite onsen which is absolutely heaven after a day on the ski slopes! The onsens are also open all night so you can go whatever time you like that suits between 4pm and 9am. Many times we were the only ones in there and felt like they were our own private onsens!|The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful - stunning wooden beams in the ceilings, beautiful views out of all the windows of the mountains, and they give you japanese slippers to walk around every area of the hotel which is great!|The breakfast each morning was incredible! Traditionally japanese and just so cute with all the little dishes and surprises to eat! Every morning they made an effort to do something different as well which was so great!|The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. They helped call our ski rental place to pick us up on the shuttle on more than one occasion and always said hello as we walked by.|The hotel itself is only 3 mins wall from the main happo one bus terminal and also the shuttle buses up to the happo one ski slope.|Great location, great experience, and fantastic value. We would stay here again in...
Read moreStayed for a period of 4 nights and loved the location. It was a very short walk from the bus terminal and to Lawsons (a mini mart) which makes it super convenient with our heavy luggages. It is also of short walk to nearby eateries & if you are up for a stroll to burn more calories or plan not to waste time waiting for the shuttle buses, it is actually of walking distance to the Happo one slopes & the gondola. Staff were super friendly especially an uncle who is very warm and service oriented. He gifted us a Hakuba calendar on our check out day and even took time to explain the beautiful photos of Hakuba. One can tell he is full of pride! Breakfast was hearty & authentic. The young boys serving us were also friendly and helpful. Room was decent size and was reasonably priced. Definitely will be back if i ever visit Hakuba again!||||The only con was the hotel seems to be managed by just a few people so there were a couple of times we came back in the afternoon without our room key and had to wait for quite awhile before someone...
Read moreWe stayed from the 9th ~ 11th Jan. What a beautiful hotel, the design of the interior, although looks dated, but the minimalism of it keeps it modern. Lots of usage of wood everywhere, and there were numerous 1998 Nagano winter olympics posters on the walls (SO NICE!) The owner is an old Japanese man, speaks English well and direct with his information and instructions. I believe its a husband and wife team that runs the hotel and they both multi-task quite a bit. Breakfast is like for champions! A mix of Japanese and Anglo style food, ensuring you are well-fueled before hitting the slopes! The room we had was a traditional Japanese Tatami room. Slept 4 of us comfortably and still enough space to eat and put our stuff. Toilet's a tad small (expected for Japan). Its a 20 mins walk from Hakuba train station - so be aware if you haven't arranged transport. Truly recommend this hotel if you are...
