A MUST when in Hakuba 😋 Haven't had such amazing French/Italian food in Japan in a while. Tried the lasagna and mushroom pasta, and it was mind-blowingly good!! The lasagna had a really good bechamel sauce and the dish was really balanced. The mushrooms were freshly picked in Hakuba by the chef himself and the dish wasso delicious and creamy! Got some red wine as well which was delicious as well!! Loved the atmosphere with the jazzy music, it felt so nice and cozy! We went in autumn, so the restaurant was only run by the chef and one staff so make sure you're not in a rush when coming for dinner. Can't wait to go back...

He say it loud in front of everyone. When I say that I didn’t know the rule and I need some time to have a look to the drinking menu, he replied that he will not start cooking before I place an order or I should go away. Great food with local ingredients. The chef would go deep into the mountain to harvest all types of mushrooms.
Should definitely order the two dishes with wild mushrooms Ravioli with porcini sauce meat (deer in our case) with extra mushroom cream sauce. A masterpiece.
