I'm a tour guide, the cafe was recommended by a colleague. The curry was very delicious (though with my 188cm I never tend to be full). The tea is also very good. The matcha shaved ice from my neighbors looked very big for the price and seemed to be delicious as well. Also surprised about the chiffon cake, which was average in taste (I mean, it's Chiffon cake) but bigger than I expected. Highlight for me is the atmosphere. It's a quieter street less populated by the masses of tourists. When it's not cold, they open the back door's to the garden and back yard. Beautfiul small scenery with old houses and groomed plants. Heck, even the bathroom is pretty as hell. The storekeepers are also angels and try their best in conversing in English with the customers. Recommend for a late lunch chill!

Stopped into this lovely gallery cafe on our way back from the Pagoda - so glad we did! We felt welcomed immediately despite speaking very little Japanese. We ordered a couple of iced coffees and a matcha shaved ice with rice balls. Umai! So good! The owner was so sweet and told us the history of the cafe, and about how the A bomb impacted her family. She also asked us about ourselves, and on the odd occasion she didn't understand, the other lady translated. It was such a great experience. Would definitely visit again! Thanks ladies!
