We have found this place because is one (and seems the only) coffee corner open for breakfast at 9:00 am and the experience was awesome!
The coffee shop is beautiful: old style and you can smell and see the history of the coffee and tea. The hot coffee and tea is made by glass syphon and, as italian, seeing prepare it that way instead of moka was magical. The taste of the coffee was magnificent, intense and the tea was marvelous.
Takeshi, the owner, is a very nice gentlemen, talk a perfect english and also a little bit of italian. It was a pleasure to talk with him and share experiences, gifts and words. He took a notepad for writing how to say plus and more in italian. He also asked to translate and share the menu in english: I uploaded it here in order to help him to spread his work.
The menu is meant for breakfast and also the rest of the day. For drink there is coffee, tea, milk coffee, milk tea, orange tea and apple tea, both in cold hot version. More, he serves cocoa, orange juice, mango drink, yuzu, calpis, cola, beer and wine.
The food was great: the morning set included toast with butter and an egg. Then, there is the delicious cake set, the machikado (name of the shop) set with baumkuchen (tipical japanese cake), pizza (also it with a set), curry rice (also with set) and the cheese toast.
Furthermore, Takeshi has been so kind that gave us a gift for our japanese travel. We have spent like 30 minutes to talk with him, the atmosphere was surreal, emotional and seems to be like home.

Read moreThe owner is extremely kind and hospitable! After looking for dinner past the closing time of most restaurants we received a very warm welcome here. It is small and cosy, has a cute interior and had a wonderful classical music running in the background.
We ordered a rice curry which was followed by a homemade tea compliments of the owner. The meal was delightful and we gladly accepted the owner’s (Tekishi) gentle invitation for breakfast the next morning...
Breakfast the next day was wonderful and again accompanied by a warm welcome from the owner. The owner offered us creamy eggsalade sandwich, slices of toasted (homemade!) bread and a delicately brewed coffee and tea.
The hospitality Tekishi almost made it feel like a personal visit and will be very memorable for our stay here at...

Beautifully decorated with all sorts of Knick knacks and artistic crockery and glass ware. Gentle classical music playing in the background makes for a relaxing atmosphere. Limited menu but the coffee is excellent quality. We had boiled egg toast and coffee. Enough to set us up for a trip to...
