Disappointing,that sums our experience up in one word. Quite disappointing. Started with the entry where two staff were manning the counter. Friendly & warm welcome ? Nope, no greeting beside a tad hostile stares “ you made no reservations ?”No, I didn’t, the restaurant was 98% empty that time ! And no, I wasn’t interested in the buffet neither as it didn’t appeal to us. Seated, waiter “shuffling “ over, not sure but he oozed disinterested as well a deep tiredness. It was confirmed that he seems to not take interest in his work as he neither paid attention to what we asked him as well as not knowing the menu contents ( and it is a small a la carte menu & we both spoke Japanese!). Didn’t felt confident in that our order would be fulfilled. After quite a while, restaurant at that time counted 9 other guests drinks arrived. Ok, but no service culture, no smile no nothing.
Food , entree’s arrived , a Cesar’s salad, huge, dressing on the side. Lackluster, bland, a few croutons, a tiny egg, rest salad ! Not my idea of Cesars but definitely big portion.
Camembert, on bread ( they don’t even bother to toast it slightly), jam missing. On our request he brought over two breakfast ( “leftovers?), plastic containers with orange jam. Never had that happened to me ‘til now, no, I didn’t bothered with that.
Main dish, Beef filet ( can’t seem to recall from where , not sure that was written somewhere but I couldn’t see it), , 120 g. looked awfully small, sauce was nice. Not premium meat, wouldn’t recommend it for the price tag attached.
The highlight, a freshman server, 6 month in delivered outstanding service, Sera San was attentive, very knowledgeable and flexible in her service. ( only her that was !) I called her over after the main course as I was looking for a dessert, cake of the house and instead of making me walk to the cake counter ( which happened to a couple sitting beside us , thanks to the other waitstaff !)she brought over a tablet with fresh taken pictures to choose from, even offered Pastry Chef recommendations !), perfect. The follow up with a drink , also spot on ! What a difference that made !
Paying attention to your customers and trying to accommodate them.
When I asked her she mentioned that she joined in November last year. I expressed our gratitude and praise to her. Well done Sera San.

Read moreホテル宿泊で朝食会場に指定されていたけど、入口の対応も忙しいのかカギを忘れている人がいる(ショーケースにカギを置きっぱなしにして不在)ので、危ないと思って「鍵忘れてますよ」と言ったら「知ってますよ!そこに置いてるんです!」と怒鳴られた。キレ方もやばいし、ルームキーという大事な忘れ物の管理で他の客が持っていきそうなところに放置しているのもあり得なかった。 また、クラブフロアに宿泊しているのでエッグベネディクトの提供があるはずなのに、記載のないメニューの提示がされた。こちらがあらかじめ情報を持ってなかったら提供しないつもりだったのかと呆れた(怒鳴った入口対応の男性がそのメニューを持ってきてくださいまいた。指摘の地点で別の男性だったがその男性はスマートな対応だったので念のため)。 続いて、一部ビュッフェ形式(この時期にありえない)だったことも驚いた。 そして、クラウンプラザのオムレツをいつも食べてるのでオムレツを作っているところにオムレツを作ってほしいとお願いに行ったら「注文はしてるんですか!?」と怒鳴られ「え、今注文しようとしてるんですが」と伝えると「順番に作ってますから」ときつい口調で言われて怖かった。 それに気づいた別の男性スタッフに言うと、「じゃあつくればいいんですね!?」と捲し立ててきた。 提供できないなら提供不能と言ってくれればいいのに「じゃあつくればいいんだろ」という態度も対応もない。 クラブフロアが開いてればこんな不快な対応もなかったと本気で思っている。その後適当な謝罪で何人もテーブルにやってくるので食事もまともにできないし、周りの目もあって恥ずかしさでいっぱいになりました。 お金を払ってこんなに不快な思いをするホテルなんだなと思いました。 「朝から不快な思いをさせてすみませんでした」と言われたけど、一日中台無しでした。 ここに書く以上に、IHGの公式サイトを通じてクラウンプラザに言いたいので、メモとして嫌な事実があったことについてのシェ...
