YO-HAKU — Attraction in Hiroshima

夏に元気が出るアフリカンバティック柄。アフリカンバティックとは西アフリカなどの民族衣装に見られるろうけつ染めの生地。

神戸のmoja @moja_kobe の広島のyo-hakuでの企画に行った。

yo-hakuはお洒落なイベントスペース。

神戸のmojaさんの広島の Yo-Haku でのポップアップ、沖縄の陶芸家のこだま土さん @mzima_ri の作風に魅了された。

土着的な要素と沖縄、アジア、アフリカをリスペクトした作品。刺身の醤油皿を探していたので、アフリカの人を描いた器をコレクションさせて頂いた。

造形作家 石田 敦子 @asumemo_atsuko の アスメモ ギャラリーでも、舟入のtokineさん @gallery_tokine と定期的にアフリカンなポップアップをしている。

広島でもアフリカンなお洒落が浸透してきている。

何よりアフリカンなアート性からパワーをもらえる。

日本人は食でも何でも、日本にないものを取り入れて、理解し、カスタマイズし、昇華する能力がある。

今回のさまざまなショップの提案から再認識した。

広島はときめく出会いがあり、楽しい。

African batik patterns to cheer you up in the summer. African batik is a wax-resist dyed fabric seen in ethnic costumes in West Africa and other places.

I went to an event by Kobe's moja @moja_kobe at Yo-Haku in Hiroshima.

Yo-Haku is a stylish event space.

I was fascinated by the style of Okinawan potter Kodama Tsuchi @mzima_ri at the pop-up by Kobe's moja at Yo-Haku in Hiroshima.

A work that respects indigenous elements and Okinawa, Asia, and Africa. I was looking for a soy sauce dish for sashimi, so I collected a dish with a picture of an African person.

Artist Atsuko Ishida @asumemo_atsuko's Asumemo Gallery also regularly holds African pop-ups with tokine @gallery_tokine from Funairi.

African fashion is becoming more prevalent in Hiroshima as well.

More than anything, I get a lot of energy from African artistry.

Japanese people have the ability to take things that don't exist in Japan, whether it's food or anything else, and understand, customize and elevate them.

I was reminded of this by the various shop suggestions this time.
