This chain hotel is almost in every city in Japan. This hotel is close to Atomic bomb dome and museum by 10 min walking, but it takes around 20 min from the Hiroshima train station by tram. It is easy to take a tram No 1 from the train station to the Chuden-mae station and just 2 min walking to reach the hotel. To go to Miyajima island, just take a tram No 3 to the Yokogawa station and connect a JR train and cruise to the island. It takes a long time to check in, but checking out is simple, just insert a card into a machine. It might be crowded during check in time. The check in time is 2 PM which is ealier than others
The room in the hotel is a bit bigger than the average size, and all facilities are provided as always. There are a restaurant and supermarket on the first floor. It is reallly good! The price of the breakfast set is only 500 yen,but customers need to have it in the restaurant located on the first floor which is not run by the hotel, and there are small with limited space. If you come late like 9 AM, it will be busy and some of the appetizers might be empty with no refilling as in a set you can choose 2 appetizers to have...
Read moreWe’re glad we stumbled on this hotel. The location is very convenient! It’s next to a streetcar/tram stop. This goes to Hiroshima Station. It is also next to a Family Mart. We went there early to grab breakfast as we were getting ready for the day, or at night for some snacks and water when we return. We had the room with two beds, so the room was larger than normal (which is basically a normal room in US standard). The room comes with a massage chair. There is also a refrigerator. The bathroom is very clean. I think the pictures make it look older than it is because of the yellow cream color of the walls and lights. I do suggest bringing an extension cord as there was only one outlet next to one bed (the other bed had none). Another open outlet was on the table next to the TV. Having an extension cord with multiple sockets will help. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I requested an extra blanket and they provided one. We did not do the breakfast they offer, but it seems a lot of the guests do. Overall, I’d definitely put this on the list of hotels I...
Read moreRUDE, DISAPOINTED, CANCELLED I rarely make bad reviews because I understand how difficult the service industry is. So what happened? The room was non smoking and had obviously been smoked in, but this is not the reason for the one star. I explained over the phone to reception the issue, Japanese isn't a strong language of mine so I ask for English speaking she agrees and invites me down stairs. I believe we are getting a room swap but due to a language barrier it was only to talk face to face, which is fine, its easier. So we take luggage down to the desk, I explain the issue again and the lady that dealt with us understood the situation and explained it to a colleague who laughed. I don't care that the room smells, I don't care we came downstairs with our bags, the decision to cancel our reservation happened then when you joked about our discomfort and after the joke made zero attempts to accommodate, which if there's no alternatives, then so be it. We found another hotel and cancelled our booking. I will be making an...
