I found this restaurant cuz it was really close to my hotel, and what a surprise and a hidden gem! I ordered the most expensive set menu as the menu is in Japanese only, so you got to trust the chef to serve you with the best they have and what is in season. I spoke with the owner with the help of a beautiful waitress who could speak understandable English, and he said it is rare to have a foreigner in the restaurant.
As the best restaurants are usually less touristy and as a tourist, we should eat what the locals eat. Seriously, the food looked wonderful and tasted extremely good. We had a wonderful experience, maybe the best in Japan.
The service was extremely nice, the staff was really friendly. There's no English menu, but they have English speaking staff members, even the owner uses Google translate. We ordered the three meal course, and was served with all kinds of traditional foods Japanese people eat. Can't get a more authentic experience than this.

We had a baby with us and Ona, the woman who helps run the place and I think is one of the owners(?), gave us a private room and was so kind. She taught us about each dish, played with our baby, and even directly fed us to show us how to eat a couple of the items lol.
