Masaki — Restaurant in Hiroshima

Imagine you walk into an empty restaurant, but the waitress tell you she won’t sit you down or serve you because you haven’t made a reservation….? And you are like: “but it’s empty? No one is here?”; and she says: “the guests are coming later”, and you are like :”but your restaurant closes very soon. When are these guests arriving?” It was surreal and just stupid on their end, they just lost about 4000 yen that I was going to spend there. And she had an attitude with me on top of that…. I think they were either lazy and didn’t want to serve more clients, or I hate to think it, but xenophobic and refused me service only because I’m a foreigner. People are so friendly in Japan, but these idiots working at Masaki disappoint and don’t represent the friendliness of the Japanese...

Wonderful experience, the restaurant is very clean and the staff is paying attention, we got really good service, typical of what Japan has to offer. The food was superb, we had the 8 course meal around Hiba beef and none of the dishes were disappointing. On the contrary it was delicious, all of it. The chef and staff were both extremely nice. While it can seen a bit on the expensive side, it is an amazing price to quality ratio, with quality ingredients and plating. Highly recommend, by far the best place we had in Hiroshima and perhaps in Japan...

Had amazing time here. We had 10000yen course per person. Each dish is prepared with great care and attention. The taste is truly extraordinary! I would recommend if you wish to celebrate a special day. Reservation is required. Thankfully, the chef also prepared our course menu...
