The burgers here are fantastic. This place is famous for using sweet Awajishima onions, so all their onion based stuff is excellent. French fries are just OK IMO. The prices are a little gougy -- about 30 percent markup compared to another of their locations in Hiroshima -- probably because it's in a newly developed tourist area right across the street from the A-bomb Dome. Stopped by Shimauma Burger recently and it was actually really good. The burger had a nice crunch, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Fries were hot and crispy, and the onion rings were surprisingly solid—thick and not overly greasy.

The craft cola was a nice touch too—less sweet than regular soda, with a kind of herbal kick that made it stand out.
