Absolutely perfect experience for our first okonomiyaki of this trip. Kenji the chef is amazing and the whole process is brilliant to watch. He also had a lovely customer/friend there - Mako - who chatted with us and helped us get to know Kenji better. What a wonderful experience with fantastic and hearty food. Our children were made to feel very welcome and they loved everything about this place. We had to wait an hour and come back later for our meal - it was totally worth it!

The most authentic and delicious okinomiyaki I've ever had: Hiroshima special!!! The owner is 76 and has been cooking okinomiyaki for 32 years. He welcomes foreigners and is tattoo-friendly. Lovely conversation in Japanese and English. It's possibly the best dining experience I've ever had in Japan!!! Highly recommend.

If you want to experience a small private, and at home Okonomiyaki in Hiroshima, definitely go for it! The price is absolutely affordable. Old but gold taste Okonomiyaki made by 76yr. old "Otosan" （Japanese father）Who has been in his career for more than 50 years. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to the customers who often go to fancy/normal restaurant. Good vibes only. 経歴50年以上の腕は間違いありません。 隠れ家かの様な小さなお店でお父さんが美味しく焼きうどんとお好み焼きを作って頂きました。 高級レストランや普通なレストランによく行かれる方にはオススメしません。 オープンマインドで良く食べる方におすすめします。 ご馳走様でした！

Being only a 5min walk from our airbnb, we walked in after a long travelled day. The service was AMAZING!, took his time making our okinomiyaki, served us water and shochu highball. My wife had a great conversation with the owner(I speak little Japanese) and very much enjoyed travellers!. The restaurant is tattoo friendly if anyone is feeling a but concious about showing them. 10/10, couldn't...
