Yasubei — Restaurant in Izu

If you're wandering around Shuzenji and looking for something good to eat, definitely stop by Yasubei.

They have many delicious dishes that will surely please. Must-trys include their Amago Sashimi, Tori Karaage, Grilled Spareribs and perhaps one of their star dishes, Crab Udon (plenty of crabby flavour goodness🤤).

They also have a special hot sake that is made with a char-grilled fish within (and served in a fish-shaped pot) that has a very nice and unique umami flavour. The perfect thing to warm you up when the weather is cold.

When entering this restaurant, the staff did not want to accept us, even there are 2-3 available tables. Their female boss still ask us to go inside, but we sit near the fan which lots of smoke and greasy air. Their service was also incredibly slow. When checking out, the female boss just gave us a little tag with price. We asked for the details list and checked through the calculations. They were all correct except the 10% tax. Visited around 18:30, it wasn't busy so we could be seated immediately. The sashimi tasted very fresh, since it's prepared in front of you. The Karaage was also very nice.
