i visited this small restaurant while on my way to sakurajima. the staff were friendly, making conversation with me despite my non-fluent japanese. when i told them about my dietary restrictions (gluten), they were happy for me to use my own gluten free soy sauce and also checked with me beforehand if this or that was ok to use, which i really appreciated as it made me feel safer to eat there. they also adjusted the course accordingly.
the food itself was delicious. i ordered the premium course. every bite was fresh and i was pleasantly surprised that it actually reminded me of a michelin star sushi omakase place that i had eaten at earlier in my trip. i didnt expect it because i had just literally popped in to eat as it was on my way and now i am highly recommending it to anyone who happens to be travelling in this area.
