This park could be so much better given the location and excellent views of Sakurajima volcano island. The lay-out and set-up is very simple and barren. Instead of a walkway connecting in a straight line with Kagoshima’s main avenue towards the seafront, you are forced to walk around a car park first. Still highly recommended for your first views of Sakurajima upon arriving in Kagoshima.

It was the perfect setting to enjoy a summer night, with a breathtaking display that brought the community together in celebration. Can't wait for next year's show!"

It's a beautiful well kept park, plenty of food nearby. Seems like every time I visit (except 2020) there's some kind of event going on...I barely survived the Shochu festival one year. The view of Sakurajima while you sip and chug your second beer and onigiri is hard to beat. 2016-2024

The Park is probably the best spot to enjoy the view of Mt Sakurajima as well as the facilities there. I was so relaxed when I arrived here around noon on November 25, 2016. I put away my belongings and had captured quite a lot of satisfying photos and vidoes!

Beautiful, large (huge) park. Bike and skate rentals. Staff is very considerate and efficient. There are several fields for tournaments and free play. The seaside and forest views are magnificent! I wish I could share more pictures. Next time!

I had a picnic there and man was the veiw insane. Sakurajima never looked so close. You could see the volcano so clearly from that area. It was such a calm place to just relax at.
