I’m writing this review specifically to commend Miss Awada (sorry if misspelled) who served us on 28/08/2024 at the front desk. Due to the typhoon, we wanted to cancel our future hotels, ferries, and flights to receive refunds. It was very difficult with us not having access to a landline and the language barrier. She very kindly went out of her way to make multiple calls for us and ensured that we could receive our refunds. I believe this was beyond her duties but she very graciously offered to help us. We really appreciate her hospitality and generosity of her time, it has left positive feelings of Kagoshima for us. The hotel itself offers a lounge with drinks and is in a great location. Very clean and well equipped room for fair prices. I would highly recommend staying here....

We asked for a different room on arrival but were told they were full. By midnight, when the family of five above us had still not stopped crying and screaming at eachother, we called the front desk for a room change. They reluctantly moved us to an upper floor room (same size) with a beautiful view and no awful smell. But honestly, the WiFi inside the room is just a joke, and of course the staff are not capable to take care your WiFi connection during your stay. ||||Besides, when I check out, I tell the female staff in front desk we will back to the hotel from Yakushima for 2 night and ask for their favor to keep a luggage, to my surprise, she not even understand what i am talking and ask me to leave.
