Tucked away from the busy Komachi-dori is this udon restaurant. I ordered the "happiness set" which is basically shrimp tempura, rice, and udon, and the shirasu(whitebait) bento. The food took some time to be served, but it was served piping hot and was very tasty. The restaurant itself has a retro vibe to it, and has cheerful and friendly staff. Serving is generous for the price. Cash as payment is...

It’s worth finding off the busy Komschi St. you may have to wait a short time to get in but worth the wait. Tempura was good the noodles were tasty and loved the small bowl so when no one was looking I could drink the delicious broth. The cold beer was very nice on a hot day. I’m not comfortable with chopsticks yet so I brought my own fork. Would go back for the yummy food and try my skills...
