Avoid at all cost. Read on. My wife, son, and myself went there on March 21st around 6pm for dinner, food was ok good. Ordered 2 chirashi and 2 sashimi plates plus some deep fried appetizers. Service was ok, had to ask 3 times for tea refills. At the end the bill came to ¥11,000 but there was a 10% sales tax, we looked at the menu, where it says that all price are tax inclusive. Call the waitress over, she said that 10% taxes is on top of the food items. We did not argue, paid for the bill, but we knew that it was a discriminatory charge on foreigners. Can not believe that the merchant can do such a thing that is so unjapanese. Shame on...

Very nice restaurant with tasty seafood in a bowl (donburi style). fair prices and credit card accepted. Some of the staff seemed unused to foreigners even if the restaurant is inside of the Omicho Markets. And not all are able to speak English. One kind waiter on the other hand was able to speak English. We had to call twice the staff to check out table for beverage and we needed to ask for the info of the dishes. And the shop wasn't that busy. I will come back again but they need to improve a bit the...

We were scammed as tourists: When we arrived at the restaurant, we asked about ordering uni, which wasn’t on the menu. As the waitress began to tell us the price, two chefs intervened and quoted 5,000 yen for a "whole box," even showing it to us. However, when the uni arrived, it was only about 1/5 of what we were promised. When we questioned this, the chef gave excuses instead of addressing the issue honestly then proceeding to hide in the back of the kitchen. Very...

Stumbled upon this local spot when we first arrived late on a Saturday. We were the only foreigners, but the place was absolutely packed and the staff was exceedingly nice. They even had an English menu. We ordered the specialty oden and a sushi bowl; both felt very local and we loved trying the oden for the first time. This was one of our favorite experiences thus far and we will be recommending it to anyone going to Kanazawa!
