Fumurochaya — Restaurant in Kanazawa

Visited on Friday. Fu-shiratama was delicious!

I have had Fu-manjyu or Fu but never had Fu-shiratama. It was delicious but I thought it was very similar to regular shiratama. Maybe tiny a bit firmer? But I personally could not tell the difference. I tried set which comes with sweet soy sauce, soy bean powder, and red bean paste. I also had hot red bean soup. They were both delicious. They also had self serve Hoji tea, which was nice touch.

Service was very simple, no chit chat no smile, etc. you need to order one...

This dessert shop has super tasty rice dumplings. My husband and I each ordered one and we were worried it was going to be too much. The rice dumplings are pretty light and the dipping sauce was amazing. I got one with red beans, kinako, and soy sauce syrup.
