If I could give more than 5 stars I would because this meal was worth every penny and more. Me and my girlfriend stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant after getting rejected by 10 different izakayas in Katamachi district. And boy am I happy we did because this meal was the best. The restaurant is ran by an elderly couple that accepted us in a very welcoming way. They have a hand written menu in English for non Japanese speaking people. we both had the B set which comes with a fresh plate of sashimi (5 different fish I believe), in between the first and second course we even got 4 pices of duck meat with some mustard and lettuce and it was splendid as well, the second course is a tempura plate (2 shrimps and vegetables) and the last course is either cold/hot soba or rice. We tried both and it was magnificent. The soba is made by hand by the chef and it's by far the best soba I've had in Japan by a mile. For drinks we had 2 yuzu chu-hais which were amazing, 1 beer and the sake tasting course (3 different sakes - all extremely good and high quality), the lady that was serving us even showed us the bottles of the sake in order. After dinner we tried to chat a little bit with my bad japanese skills with the chef and the lady and they offered us complementary skewers of unagi (eel) liver which was extraordinary.
Overall I would rate the experience 100/10 and I would reccomend this restaurant to everyone that visits Kanazawa. It's a shame we only stayed for 1 day because we would have definitely returned the next day if we had the chance to try other things...

We ordered the B Set which included, sashimi, miso soup, a rice bowl, duck, and some amazing tempura. We also ordered the sake tasting (3 different types) they were all very good. The owners were extremely nice people and they seem to know their craft very well. They were delighted that we communicated in our broken japanese. I highly recommend...
