We stumbled upon this cute little cafe during our brief stay in Kanazawa. It's a great coffee and baked sweets spot run by a lovely couple, with a hip and vibey interior.
We tried their Yuzu espresso soda, which was an interesting and refreshing tonic drink. However my favourite was the classic drip filter brew, which was some of the best coffee I have ever tasted in Japan, even compared to famous roasters in Kyoto.
Their sweets and pastries were also delicious. While portion sizes are small, they are dense so be careful not to over-order. I highly recommend the salted nuts brownie.
For any travellers coming from the land down under 🐨🦘, you will find find a spot of warmth and familiarity here as the owners have worked and lived in Australia. They have imported Australia's great and laid back coffee culture and integrated it with the Japanese meticulous dedication to detail. But regardless for anyone - if you are in Kanazawa, this cafe is not to be missed!
Lots of love and support from Sydney 🇦🇺✌️, hope to visit CUBBY...
Read moreI saw this coffee shop when I came to Kanazawa last month, but at that time, I couldn’t try it. Now I’m giving it a try. Surprisingly, this is another coffee shop where I found the Ristretto Bianco, which is only offered at selected Starbucks locations around the world.
Ristretto is basically stronger than a Flat White, with two shots of espresso and less milk. It gives you a more intense coffee flavor, but still has the smoothness and richness of milk. If it’s done right, you can even taste a natural sweetness—there’s no sugar, but it still gives that sweet, enjoyable note.
So here I am, enjoying a Ristretto, which I highly recommend if you end up in Kanazawa. If you come during rush hour, you might see a line. Even if you’re getting your coffee to go, you still need to wait in line—they’ll call you when...
Read moreA good place to have breakfast in Kanazawa. They do have 3 kind of wraps, some cookies and also some pastries. Wraps sold Out quite early, when we let the shop at 10:30 they were already sold out. It is. Very nice couple managing and working here and trying their best. There is limited space just 2 tables outside and 3-4 upstairs. They have a system to be seated so just wait on the sign outside and they will let you Know when a space is available. I passed more than once and sometimes there was a queue but the place is tiny. Coffee was very good and the egg sandwich was juicy and tasty. Definitely stop by if you don’t see a queue. If the queue is long it might take some time to...
