To be honest, I was a little anxious when I entered this teppanyaki restaurant around 8:15 pm on a weeknight and saw only 2 other persons there --- a female chef (which I later learned was also the owner) and a waitress. Nevertheless I went ahead and ordered the Hana Course (JPY 10,450). It comes with an appetizer, a seasonal soup, Amakusa abalone, vegetable salad, Kuroge Wagyu sirloin steak & grilled vegetables, fried rice with pickles, miso soup, assorted desert and coffee/tea.

It turned out my apprehension was unfounded. I thoroughly enjoyed this delectable feast. The warm and pleasant demeanor of the staff really made me feel at home. When I accidentally spilled the miso soup, they offered me another bowl without extra charge.

I went back for a late lunch a few days later. The place was packed but most of the patrons had already finished and were leaving. I ordered a half lobster🦞(JPY 4,400), a fried rice set with pickles & miso soup (JPY880) and a beer. Another...

Very attentive and exceptional service by staff. The fillet mignon (Higo beef) just melts in your mouth..medium rare is the best..great ambience....

beefsteak itself had NO UMAMI at all. i pretty much prefer Manpuku-Tei beefsteak than this KAMON beefsteak.

beefsteak itself had NO UMAMI at all. i pretty much prefer Manpuku-Tei beefsteak than this KAMON beefsteak.
