What a cute bakery tucked away in Kusatsu. Serving the most delicious breads and coffees, best baked goods we tasted on our Japan trip.
We were staying across the road at Yuyado Tokinoniwa and found Kogomi a 2 walk away from the hotel.
Visited twice.
First visit, takeaway buns which we enjoyed in our room when we checked in. Delicious cinnamon swirls and a savoury cheesy baked roll. 3pm on a Wednesday, super quiet and in the middle of a rainstorm. Ran out to Kogomi Pain to get a snack, bought what I could find, they were selling out!
Second visit, came before check out for an iced coffee and red bean bun. THE BEST ! Usually we take out our coffee iced and black and iced. When served, option to add your own sugar and milk, as a treat I added the milk, it was so thick, rich and cream like, delicious! The Red Bean Bun was so tasty, we actually ordered two more to go, for our journey back to Tokyo. Friday 9.30am, super quiet, we sat outside on the small balcony, enjoying the weather and view ❤️
Totally recommend and would visit again when in Kusatsu.
