Jamka Bhet Indian Restaurant (ザンカベットインドレストラン) — Restaurant in Kusatsu

First of all, great value, actually insane value. There were 4 of us. The size of the curry isn't huge, but sufficient, which we absolutely like (can't be too full every meal in Japan, a lot to explore!). Of course if you are the type expecting rice, they can also provide it as long as you order the set. But ordering a curry along with a naan will bring you a surprise. The naan is made to order, super fresh, in fact we saw the chef making it in the kitchen. Lovely odour and we managed to finish it perfectly: naan and curry- right amount. I ordered the garlic naan, oof! Tasted so good. The curry, we think Mild is a bit too sweet, but if you are the type cannot take any spicy, good choice. Normal is good, spicy one also kept you eating and dipping! One really important thing about the curry, the curry tastes very natural, as in one doesn't taste MSG in there, full of flavour but won't make you want to drink water. Hands down the worst food I’ve had in Japan. The place had cockroaches crawling up the wall. The servers hands looked like he just got finished changing his oil. The cook looked like he hasn’t seen the light of day in three weeks. The carrots and green beans in my curry were canned in the 70s. The raita was an unflavored soupy plain yogurt. The lamb dish came with two pieces of chewy meat. Like it was leftovers from the night before. I wouldn’t take my worst enemy to this place. Your better off eating a 7/11...

Hands down worst meal I’ve had in Japan. The curry was watered down Campbell’s soup with two pieces of chewy meat. Everything tasted like it was leftovers from last week. The pictures on the menu looked nothing like what the actual plates ended up being. The worst part is the food took over an hour to make and we were the only ones there. At the end of the meal they told us they only took cash. Dirty toilet hole in the wall. We have all had food poisoning since eating here. Please do yourself a favor...
