Tea Room Yuki Usagi — Restaurant in Kusatsu

Imagine this: a group of six foreigners, torn asunder by the sheer blunt force trauma of verbal abuse spewn from the lips of a shriveled worm running a cafe, now down to three (just to be clear, three of us did not die, just separated from it). We walk into this cafe with weary and heavy hearts, one of us (me) filled with venomous rage toward our treatment from the previous place. We are seated by several nice ladies in a clean, wonderful atmosphere. There is a fake fireplace near us making us warm. We order tea, coffee, scones, and cake. We sip it in the casual but welcoming atmosphere and my scathing bitterness melts away. I see some small items on sale to the side and to my surprise, the Eragon series are present among them. A true blast to the past.

The bathroom is very exquisite and has pink toilet paper. Sheek but...

Randomly came to this place and the interior was very cozy and warm, really love the atmosphere. On each table they put a small bell which you should ring when ready to order, the ring is so subtle and very pleasant to the ear. Ordered hot milk tea, hot coffee (yuki usagi blend) and a gateau chocolate cake. Hot milk tea came with cinammon powder, milk tea was so so, not creamy as I expected it to be but it was a good combination with the cinammon. Yuki usagi blend came in a french press and it was good, it's more sour than bitter type but I can taste both flavors are there. Gateau chocolate is also good with deep a bit bitter chocolate flavor, came with a soft fluffy whipped cream which is delicious. Overall nothing distinctive about this cafe but they did a good job to make it a cozy...

Our favorite stop all day! We came specifically for the French press coffee. My husband also tried the milk tea and the cakes sounded delicious so we ordered some too. I asked for milk with my coffee and at first they forgot (I wasn't going to bring it up) but then they remembered and brought it over apologetically. Very good and friendly service. Bathroom was clean and well taken care of. They sell a lot of cute decor items as well. We will probably go back...
