I looooove this hotel. Everything from the food, the room, the hot spring, the price, the location everything is perfect. It’s very affordable and it even provides two wonderful meal. We get to stay in a spacious and clean Japanese style room. The room is so warm and cozy. We have dinner and breakfast at the room below us. A room all to ourselves. It’s even better than the more expensive ones, where you usually dine in a restaurant. In here you can dine at the privacy of your own room. And because this isn’t a large establishment, you don’t have to wait for the private Onsen. The private onsen isn’t very big but it’s good enough. My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoy ourselves staying here. And the location is very convenient. It’s within walking distance to the main street. It was snowing when we were having dinner. It was so cozy to eat in the warm, private room. And the staff there are so friendly and hospitable. To have this service and quality at this price, this is definitely one of the best place I have...
Read moreLove this traditional ryokan. When we arrived it was drizzling so we decided to take a cab. Flat rate for short distance around 700+ yen. It was around 5-10 mins walk to bus terminal on our return journey. If you can't find the place just say to Jizo hot spring, it is right beside it. Manageable with luggage, walking slowly up and down hill. The ryokan is a small medium established. We hardly see other guest when we are there. Clean and comfortable. They have welcome Japanese sweet and matcha. The onsen has both public and individual. We went to the public one. Though is small it didn't bother us as we are the only group there. The water is hotter that the one we tried before. The dinner is kaiseki. Above my expectation. The breakfast is Japanese style and get you filled till noon. The stay is worth the money, if you compare to price of other ryokan, example in Hakone? Not much interaction with owner maybe due to...
Read morePros: Convenient location Friendly staff Delicious dinner and breakfast Two private onsen (first come first served) Accepts PayPay
Cons: Lack of amenities (only provided razor and hairbrush) parking lot not concrete (sandy and uneven) No bathroom in room
We stayed for one day during a weekday in the summertime. This ryokan is an older facility, but our room was clean and there was no tobacco smell. Our room didn’t have a bathroom (only toilet and sink) but the ryokan has two private onsen (first come first served). We were able to try both onsen without having to wait at all. The larger private bath, by the way, is extremely hot. The temperature in the smaller one was perfect.
We paid about ¥30,300 for two. With two meals and onsen (instead of water), it was quite a...
