This is my new favourite spot in Hokkaido, Japan 🇯🇵🫶
If you’re looking to treat yourself, head over to The Flats. Restaurant/Bad for an intimate dining experience ✨ Located on the 1st floor of Chatrium (formerly known as Shiki Niseko), the restaurant-bar concept serves modern Japanese cuisine.
We started with sashimi and foie gras as 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 and 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗱𝗲𝗿.
🌟 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 For sushi, we had the fresh scallop, tuna and sweet prawn sushi 🍣
🌟 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯 Blown away by this 🥹 I’d reservations about this dish when I first saw it served as tempura…but I was quickly proven wrong! The sweet juicy plump meat is so satisfying. Definitely the highlight of my Hokkaido trip 🦀
🌟 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯 Surprised to find this item served and the Singaporean in me was immediately looking for mantou (which was sadly unavailable)💀
Also had 🐄 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻 🐟 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 🍮 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁
Prices generally range from ¥22,000 onwards. Worth visiting if you’re willing to splurge! 🥹

Sleek decor, well priced cocktails and an extensive but pricey wine list mostly concentrating on French wine. Restaurants are hard to get into during ski season and we were very pleased with the food and the ambience. Expensive but a very enjoyable and satisfying dining experience. I will...
Read moreFrom a quick glance of the menu, the innovative and delicious food will definitely not be expected! The beautifully plated dishes are as tasty as they look, while still being reasonable in price. Recommend cherry mousse for dessert. Dishes are full of texture and flavour. Portions leave you satiated but not stuffed, which is ideal in my opinion. Staff were friendly and open to chat. Probably my new favourite fusion restaurant. Would definitely come again next...
