Absolutely phenomenal! I recently visited this ramen spot and decided to try their roast beef ramen and wow, was I blown away. From the moment the bowl arrived, I knew I was in for something special. The presentation was stunning: tender slices of perfectly cooked roast beef artfully arranged atop a steaming, aromatic broth, with vibrant greens and a soft-boiled egg adding color and richness.
The broth itself was a revelation deeply savory, with layers of umami and just the right amount of richness. It complemented the roast beef beautifully, letting the meat’s flavor shine without overpowering it. The noodles were perfectly chewy, soaking up all that delicious broth with every bite.
What really set this bowl apart was the roast beef melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a subtle smokiness and a hint of pepper that made every bite unforgettable. Each element was clearly crafted with care, and together they created a harmony of flavors and textures that I’ll be dreaming about for weeks.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made the whole experience feel even more special. If you’re a ramen lover or just someone who appreciates incredible food do yourself a favor and try the roast beef ramen here. It’s easily one of the best bowls...
Read moreWhat a lovely little ramen joint this is! It's quite easy to walk past this because from the outside it's just a sign by a narrow stairway, indeed, we only found it by asking this very map app for decent ramen places nearish Nishiki market, but we're very glad we did. The seating inside is limited to about 10, I reckon, so you'll probably have to queue up the stairs to get in but the line moves reasonably quickly, so it's all good. The pace has a very warm, friendly atmosphere and the ramen is excellent. You only get the option of charsui, beef or a mixture of both, but it's done so nicely that there's no need to worry about that. Just a quick note, though, it isn't tonkotsu ramen, if that's what you're expecting. The broth is still super tasty, though, and the meat and noodles go down very well indeed. The craft beer they serve is delicious, too. Ooh, also, only works out at about the equivalent of twenty quid for two...
Read moreOne of the best meals I had in Kyoto was at this outstanding ramen shop. There are only 12 seats but the wait was so worth it! The soy ginger broth was absolutely incredible—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced without being too heavy. I finished every drop of the roast beef ramen I ordered, and it was unlike anything I’ve had before: tender, perfectly cooked slices of beef paired with noodles that soaked up all that savory goodness.
What made the experience even better was the thoughtful drink menu. As someone in recovery, I really appreciated that they offered non-alcoholic beer. It was such a relief to be able to enjoy a comforting bowl of ramen with a cold drink that felt celebratory but safe for me.
The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff were kind, and every detail made the meal memorable. If you’re in Kyoto and love ramen, this place is a must-visit—it’s comfort food elevated to something...
