万朶花食堂 — Restaurant in Kyoto

My wife and I just ate at 万朶花食堂 for the first time--and it is directly across the street from our home. We have been missing great food with excellent volume, a happy and cheerful atmosphere, and good prices. I won't repeat what others have already written, just say, "I agree." All of the lunch/dinner sets come with the main item, usually next to a small salad or other food, miso soup, age-dofu w/ oroshi, three small あえ物 vegetable dishes, and rice. 白川通今出川から 少し上がった所 北白川郵便局の隣にある 万朶の花食堂さん におじゃましました

”万朶の花”というのは 枝が垂れ下がり その枝に多くの花をつける花 のことを言うのだそうです

枝垂桜や藤のような花のこと なのでしょうか？ 素敵ですね

お店は 元気な女性が お二人で切り盛りされていました

ランチはＡ、Ｂの2種類

Ａはメインは6種類の中から 二つチョイスできます Ｂは焼き魚３種類から 一つチョイスできます

私はＡにして 『ハンバーグと鰯の梅しそフライ』 を選びました

メインの他には

☆ピーマンと茄子の揚げびたし ☆揚げ出し豆腐 ☆ひじきとお豆さんの煮もの ☆ふわふわの出し巻 ☆お味噌汁

が付きます

メインも美味しいのですが この周りの脇役たちが とっても美味しい！ 出し巻はふわふわです

お値段も980円（税込）と とってもリーズナブル もう少し高くても良いのでは と思いました

店内は白とウッドの内装で ゆっくりと落ち着いた感じ ついつい長居してしまいそうな 居心地の良さを感じます

お客様も ご近所のお馴染みさんが 多そうですが はじめての訪問の私が アウェー感を感じることはまったくなく 次もまた来てみたくなりました

帰り際、お手洗いで オーナー様からのメッセージを 見つけました

オーナー様は オーストラリアに17年住まわれ その後、京都に帰ってきて、 このお店をオープンされたのだそうです
