Arrived in Kyoto and stayed a charming airbnb two doors down. Had lunch there not knowing what to expect. Sat down and was greeted by a friendly hostess. Had some tea and was wondering if she was going to come back with a menu. To our surprise, she came with four trays of food for our family. Meal was delicious, grilled fish, miso soup, bell pepper, tofu, and a radish dish. I guess this is considered an omakase lunch. Very reasonably priced at $6.30 usd.

I have not been here for lunch, but swung by for a late dinner. Wow, it was really good. Had a delicious salad, grilled red snapper, agedashi tofu, some sashimi and a few other things. Great little neighborhood Japanese restaurant - the couple who runs it does not really speak English, but super helpful and turned out some delicious food. The wagging was sublime.

《食べたもの》 ■おかませランチ 980円(税込) ※造り、焼物、煮物、揚げ物から2品、小鉢2品、ご飯、味噌汁、香の物 五条駅(京都)近くの路地裏にある居酒屋さんのランチを食べに行ってきました😄 平日だけ提供してるランチは、日替わりの『おまかせランチ』のみ っぽいわ。 本日のラインナップは、お造りと焼物(焼魚)、おひたし、玉子豆腐、味噌汁に沢庵、そしてこれってお茶碗!？と思うような器にご飯が盛られてました。 お造りはハマチでコリッとした食感もあり、新鮮なお造りで旨かった🐟️ 焼物はヒメマスの塩焼で、かなりしょっぱい仕上がりでご飯はススムわ。 おひたしはかなり薄味やけど、いい味付けで美味しくいただけましたよ♪ 玉子豆腐は実はそんなに好きやないんやけど、めちゃくちゃ久しぶりに食べたら案外美味しかったわ。 味噌汁もほんのり出汁感はあるけど上品な薄味やね。
