Arashiyama Sakura Mochi Rice is a delightful spot that deserves a 5-star review! The dango was absolutely delicious—perfectly chewy with just the right amount of sweetness. I also tried the mochi with matcha powder, which was soft, flavorful, and had the perfect hint of bitterness from the matcha.

What made the experience even better was the warm hospitality. They offer free hot tea, which was the perfect pairing with the treats, especially on a chilly day in Kyoto. The shop’s cozy and traditional vibe added to the charm, and enjoying these local delicacies amidst the beauty of Arashiyama made it unforgettable.

This is a must-visit for anyone exploring the area. I can’t wait to come back and try more of...

Unlike the milky Korean-style snow bingsu, this had clear, crunchy ice with an incredibly rich syrup — maybe strawberry jam? Matcha jam? Whatever it was, it was a perfect match. We devoured it in seconds.

Japanese shaved ice… I already...

I dont typically enjoy this type of mochi but this place has won my heart. The amount of sweetness was not overwhelming. It was the perfect amount and in perfect balance with the flavors. Loved it so much that we came back a 2nd time in the same day just to try their other menu items. It is bit hidden away from the main tourist street. The place is small and doesn't have alot of seating; however, people were very courteous and didn't stay long so there was seating. Highly...
