Black Cat Coffee — Restaurant in Kyoto

Great little coffee shop, stays open till late which I was grateful for as I needed to recharge batteries. The barista, Yu-san, is a great guy and made me a delicious matcha! Also even if it’s a small shop their cups are gorgeous. I spent some time chatting with Yu while I had my drink , he speaks great English and is a very funny guy. Give Yu-san more holidays so he can enjoy his youth, he works so hard and still with so much energy and a big smile!! I wish...

I loved the matcha latte here. It’s mainly for takeaway, but there are a couple of small benches outside, I chose to sit there as it was lovely and peaceful overlooking the Shirakawa Canal. Stumbled upon this place on my way to dinner and got a delicious matcha latte! The shop is super quaint and cute and their drinks are served in beautiful mugs. Came back the next night to get a hot chocolate which was phenomenal. Yu was such a friendly barista as well who gave us amazing dinner recommendations.
