I really don't like to complain and try to generally be positive about things, but honestly this was pretty lacklustre. We were excited about this place because of the great 4,7 Star rating but I don't see why it is so highly recommended.
We ordered 2 beers as well as two of their Special Margherita and the crust and bottom were good and cooked well, but man was it overly sauced. There was so much sauce on our pizza that most of it was still raw and fell off the slices when we picked them up.
The cheese was also not much to write home about. Looked like round slices of high moisture mozzarella that contributed to an even soggier pizza and when the expelled liquid from the cheese mixed with the tomato sauce it created an unappealing pink hue.
From what I can see in the photos that other reviewers posted most of them also look like they have way too much sauce.
And when we got the bill the 7.300 JPY felt really bad. Probably the worst price/value ratio in like 6 months for us.
But hey, if they just take away like 33-50% of the sauce amount and use a low moisture mozzarella that is torn instead of sliced and more evenly spread it could be a great pizza. There is nothing wrong with the cooking time or the dough which is honestly the hardest part to get...

The pizzas are seriously good. Fresh ingredients, expertly crafted dough - it's clear the pizzaiolo knows their stuff. Each pizzas that comes out of the oven is a testament to their skill.
While we stuck to the pizzas, we couldn't help but notice the pasta dishes at nearby tables. They looked pretty impressive too, so there's likely more to explore on the menu.
If you're craving a slice of Italy in Kyoto, this place should be your go-to. It's a standout in a city not typically known for its Italian...
Read moreWe had a reservation for a table at 7:30 p.m., and were told the wait would be around one hour. We were understanding and decided to wait patiently. However, what we did not expect was to be left waiting for an hour and 45 minutes with absolutely no updates, no information, and no attention from the staff.
During that long wait, we noticed the restaurant continued seating new guests. Specifically, two couples (a total of four people) arrived after us and were seated before us. This was incredibly frustrating, especially considering we were a group of seven who had been waiting far longer.
We tried to speak with the staff to understand what was happening, but no one took the time to explain or acknowledge us. We were completely ignored, and the atmosphere became tense and confusing.
The worst part was the manager's behavior. Instead of stepping in to clarify the situation, he approached us and, with a dismissive wave of the hand, literally kicked us out of the restaurant while saying “out, out,” without any kind of explanation. The level of disrespect was shocking.
Delays can happen in any restaurant—we understand that. But what should never be missing is basic respect, communication, and empathy, especially towards a large group that waited almost two hours. Without a doubt, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever...
