We were wandering the neighborhood after dinner headed to the Ritz Carlton for a nightcap. The sign on the door and the display drew us in. What a delightful discovery. The ambiance is elegant and intimate. It appeared we were joining two couples on dates, two women who were close friends enjoying wine and conversation together, and three co-workers sharing their passion of the grape. We didn’t eat but the food presented looked spectacular and there we lots of oohs and aahs from the two couples as they dined on either side of us. We had bubbles, French of course. Came here for wine and cheese with my wife and as a French person, I have to say that I never saw such well sourced wine and cheese anywhere in the world including France. The quality of service and attention to details, from ambiance, pairings to presentation is unmatched. We also had 1 regular starter (horse mackerel), 1 special main (pasta alla bottarga) and 2 deserts (hot cake and forêt noire) and it was simply delicious.
