So I went out of my way a little bit to find this place again on Google maps and review it. I’m not sure why the poor reviews but it was a great stop for us after walking around all day and visiting the temples and parks. Open air seating out front allowed the 4 of us to easily make a quick stop for a snack without having to walk around with it, and the seating was spacious enough. The workers taking my order and making food were friendly and easy to communicate with, even with my limited Japanese. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. The ice cream, even though the powdered brown sugar was blowing all over me, was delicious and well balanced in flavor and sweetness. They do not have garbages outside, but they have a small indoor area where the worker instantly noticed me coming in to look for a garbage and was there ready to grab it from me. Recommend stopping for a snack if you’re in the mood for the items on their menu. I will definitely be stopping back.

I’m posting this since there are so many strange, negative reviews. Every time I visit Kyoto and walk by Yasaka Shrine I make sure to come by here. I personally think it has much much better matcha soft serve than most of the places in Gion that cater to tourists. Creamier and with a heavier flavor profile. I always buy a Rich Matcha Soft Serve from here. French fries are perfectly crisp and hot, great for a cold day, and I’m also a fan of the cheesy hot dog. Lots of places to sit and a perfect rest stop if you’re walking to the old town or other shrines. What more do you...
