A truly wondrous experience being able to dine at Gion Nishimura. Nishimura-san attended to the customers at all times at the counter, advised on how to eat each piece of delicacy, and was just a great pleasure to chat with. Traditional Kaiseki meal and everything was on point! Chef spoke few English, but was good enough to have a great time. What truly set the place was the hospitality. At the end of the meal, it was pouring rain, and they gave us umbrellas for our journey back! I cannot express how amazing that was for us. Highly recommend...
