After visiting all the beautiful temples and shrines, I was inspired to gift incense as souvenirs from Kyoto (over matcha, cookies, etc.) I was staying in Gion and found this cute little shop with a large selection of quality incense. Not only did I buy gifts for friends, I bought myself this variety pack which every scent smells wonderful! I wish I would have picked up more!

While the person in store didn’t speak much English, she was very helpful.

If and when I make it back to Kyoto, I’ll definitely be back...

I was so delighted to discover this hidden treasure while exploring Gion. I bought 2 scent sachets, might have ended up buying the whole shop if it weren't for the time. Now the only thing left to do is dream of going back once more to revisit the memorable scents of this...
