My husband, son (2 yr old), and myself ate here for lunch. We had all our luggage as we were on our way out to the countryside. They were super nice about helping us store our bags. We ate upstairs and it was cool to take our shoes off. They provided slippers and had a bathroom upstairs with a fancy automatic toilet and bathroom slippers.
I had the white curry which was delicious. I drizzled some of the sesame oil that was brought to the table over it and it definitely took it to the next level. Our waitress said the curry was spicy but to my American palette, there was no heat.
My husband had the curry noodles which was also very good. I ordered a sesame Chai latte but it was unsweetened so I ended up passing it to my husband.

Go try for yourselves if you're in Kyoto in the region of Nijo castle or the Imperial Palace -...

It sells macrobiotic bento boxes, desserts and a few other prepared foods to go, as well as specialty packaged goods like sesame seeds & oils. We had the macrobiotic platter, with miso soup, pickled and stewed veggies, seitan, roasted pumpkin, brown rice--a variety of tastes and textures, served quickly in adequate portions.
Desserts looked wonderful, and the lunch was delicious and satisfying , so we have to return ! Other lunch items on the English menu were veggie...
