KOKO HOTEL Residence 京都 二条城 — Hotel in Kyoto

Love this hotel! My wife booked it, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. When we walked in, there were two bunk beds for our kids, two twin beds for my wife and I. A giant family style dining table in the middle, with sofa style seating on both side. A fully functional kitchen. The hotel had the biggest batch of free amenities, like toothbrushes, cellphone screen cleaners, shower caps, instant coffee and tea to a nice laundry facility. Services was fabulous, the staff made sure our stay was pleasurable. Super friendly and welcoming The only reason I took away a star is on location, although there are a ton of places to eat! And the coffee place next door is amazing. It’s not really in a popular area of Kyoto, so there isn’t much happening after dinner hours. It’s about a 30 min walk to that entertainment district. We loved this place for our Kyoto stay. It was a big room that came with 1 double bed, 1 double decker bed, a fridge, an area for cooking and a big size dining table. The bathroom was quite a good size one that had a bathtub. We had very good water flow with hot and cold water. It was a big space. Ideal for family. We are a family of 3 but it could easier fit a family of 4 or 5 even. It was definitely one of the best stays we have had. The staff here were absolutely amazing. There was also a washer and dryer at this stay. So it was amazing. The location is a short 5min walk away from a train station and a couple of cafes on the walk there. It's a nice quiet area.

Very clean and spacious family rooms! The beds are large and comfortable — just note that the bunk beds are smaller, so keep that in mind if you're traveling with older kids or adults. The rooms are super quiet and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. Housekeeping is done every few days, but towel exchange is available more often — even daily — which is a sensible and eco-friendly approach. Great location near the metro, convenience stores, and restaurants. The staff was extremely helpful — they even assisted me with booking bus tickets.
