Great little restaurant, with friendly helpful staff. It’s in a neighborhood and not a tourist spot. Went based on reviews for dandan noodles. What we had was not what I thought of as dandan but it was really good. I would say unique but I have limited experience with the full breath of Japanese food. (Even though dandan is a Chinese dish) I think it’s tantanmen in Japanese.
What made it unique to me was that after you finished your noodles they brought rice, green onion an cheese with a ceramic bowl. The center of the table was a heating element. The extra broth was reheated and you added the rice cheese and onion. It was like having a second dish. I wasn’t sure about the cheese at first but it worked quite well.

We sampled a variety of dishes, including dipping ramen, stamina ramen, gyoza, a rice set, and a rice bowl with spare ribs. Our favorite was the dipping ramen, which had a spicy flavor that delighted our taste buds with every bite. The stamina ramen had a more distinctive peanut and curry base, which might not appeal to everyone depending on their flavor preferences.
Overall, Gouriki proved to be a great spot for a quick bite around town. If you're in the area and looking for a quick, tasty meal, Gouriki is definitely...
