Harbor Cafe — Restaurant in Kyoto

FACT: SMOKING HARMS EVERYONE. Unfortunately, this establishment allows smoking in 2018, well behind the times. Good food and concept. But catering to smokers is the same thing as watching someone get mugged or robbed without offering assistance or calling the police. Until this place bans smoking, it should not be visited by people who have the right to eat and breathe clean air. Smokers need to eat too. They can surely survive without a cigarette during a meal without having to compromise every other healthy person in the room, who also want to survive. This place won't lose customers if they make this change. In fact, they will attract even more customers, including families with children. The smokers will still come as well. I love this place because it is one of the few places with breakfast in the morning in this area. They have a revolving daily breakfast plus two set breakfasts you can get every day. During the rest of they day they serve some simple sandwiches and pasta dishes. But most come for cake and coffee. The only detractor is the smoking section. It's a nice large sunny space with very good seating, and being open 24 hours is very special for this area. But, they don't have wi-fi so the main reason I would want it open (work from cafe) is pretty awkward.
